Lee Valley

Birdhouse Building

Loss of habitat for our birds, butterflies and bees is a growing concern across Canada. Birds help keep the insect population in check, while bees and butterflies are important pollinators for our plants. To help combat the habitat loss, your local Lee Valley Store in Kingston is looking for partners in local community groups to help build these houses in May and June 2017. We are hoping that your kids may be interested in helping in the build itself. Once these houses are built they will be donated and distributed to the Cataraqui Conservation Authority, the Kingston Seniors Center, and many of the 32 community gardens within the Kingston area.

For ages 8+ in groups of 10 (8 youth, 2 adults)
